Athlete & Parent Questions

  • NIL stands for Name, Image, and Likeness. It refers to an athlete's right to profit from their personal brand — photos, videos, endorsements, and more. Many states now allow high school athletes to earn NIL income legally. High Rise NIL helps athletes navigate these opportunities professionally and responsibly.

  • This depends on your state and school athletic association rules. High Rise NIL provides basic compliance education to help athletes understand what is allowed in California. We are not lawyers — always consult your athletic director and a licensed attorney for definitive eligibility guidance.

  • The program is designed for high school athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. Parent or guardian involvement is required for all athletes under 18.

  • No. High Rise NIL is a marketing and consulting organization only. We do not recruit athletes for college programs, negotiate contracts as a licensed agent, or provide legal representation. We focus on brand development, NIL education, and marketing campaign placement.

  • We have a strong foundation in basketball but work with multi-sport athletes. Any high school student-athlete with marketable brand potential and strong character is welcome to apply regardless of sport.

  • Once matched with a business partner and a campaign is agreed upon, compensation is arranged directly between the athlete and the business. High Rise NIL helps structure and manage the campaign. We cover financial literacy basics so athletes know how to handle their earnings responsibly.
